Create a Group – Kik

On Kik, you have the option to create a Public Group or a private group with just a few easy steps:

To create a Private Group:

1. Open the Kik app.
2. From your chat list, tap the blue + icon.
3. Select Start a Group.
4. Search for friends to add to your group.
5. Optional: Create a name and add an image for your new group (this can be updated later).
6. Tap Start in the top right-hand corner.

To create a Public Group:

1. Open the Kik app.
2. From your chat list, tap the blue + icon.
3. Tap Public Groups.
4. Tap the + icon on the top right-hand corner.
5. Enter your group’s name in the space provided.
6. Add a group image.
7. Add your group’s #tag (think of this as the group username that allows users to search for your group).
8. Optional: Tap the names of friends you'd like to add to the group.
9. Tap Start to create your new Public Group.

Note: you are limited to creating 3 Public Groups within a 24-hour period.
