On Kik, you have the option to delete individual messages or entire chats.

**To delete an individual message:**

1. Open the Kik app.
2. Select a chat you would like to delete from your chat list.
3. Tap and hold the message you'd like to delete until the option to **Copy** or **Delete** appears.
4. Tap **Delete**.
5. Tap **Delete** again to confirm and remove the message.

_Please keep in mind that deleting a message from your device will not delete the message from the chat recipient’s device since all messages are stored locally on each individual device._

**To delete an entire chat:**

1. Open the Kik app.
2. Select a chat you would like to delete from your chat list.
3. For iOS users: swipe left on the chat and tap **Delete**.
4. For Android users: tap and hold down on the tap until a pop-up appears on the screen and then tap **Delete**.

_Please note that deleting a group chat will also result in you leaving the group!
